Mac is fucked officially!!!

I’m a regular at Digg.com and while just going through some news over there, I came across this hilarious comment on an article titled “Mac vs. PC”. It went like this:

“Imagine a giant penis flying towards your mouth, and there’s nothing you can do about it. And you’re like “Oh man, I’m gonna have to suck this thing”, and you brace yourself to suck this giant penis. But then, at the last moment, it changes trajectory and hits you in the eye. You think to yourself “Well, at least I got that out of the way”, but then the giant penis rears back and stabs your eye again, and again, and again. Eventually, this giant penis is penetrating your gray matter, and you begin to lose control of your motor skills. That’s when the giant penis slaps you across the cheek, causing you to fall out of your chair. Unable to move and at your most vulnerable, the giant penis finally lodges itself in your anus, where it rests uncomfortably for 4, maybe 5 hours. That’s what using a mac is like.”

HAHAHA!!!

Are we still living in the dark ages?

“Hi I’m QWERTY, how are you doing?” (smiles and shakes hand)
“Hey QWERTY, I’m doing good, nice to finally meet you!”
“So what do you do?”
“Well, I work at Avalon Inc. as a Technical Specialist. And what about you?”
“I’m self employed and run a textile business.”
“Nice, so what are you?”
“What are you… as in?”
“Which caste… which religion?”
(QWERTY is wondering what has this question got to do in the present context!!???)
“Err… I’m ………”

This is how a conversation would generally spark off between two people who have just met. People will ask you what caste/religion you are and then they will base you on a particluar stereotype they have of others from your race. Isn’t it really sad that even now, after almost hundreds of years since we left the dark ages behind, the population is still kind of uncivilized? Why is it so difficult for everyone to just digest the fact that we above all just human beings. Hasn’t everyone realised as yet how dangerous religion has been to the entire human population? Didn’t we all experience it’s side-effects on a global scale? It’s high time we all upgraded the way we think otherwise we all will still be thriving in the dark ages - mentally!

Shockingly huge sound.

Yesterday while browsing for a bluetooth handsfree at Heera Panna, I came across this amazing little gadget. Called the X-mini Capsule Speaker, this miniature sound system is rich and loud and strong. It will surprise you with how big it sounds. Smaller than an egg and weighing less than 60 grams, this portable little speaker can connect to any machine with a 3.5mm jack output, making it compatible with my cellphone and my laptop. Best of all, it recharges through the USB port.

Impressive stuff!

Why I chose a Chevy!

The choices were: Honda City, Renault Logan, Maruti Suzuki SX4, Hyundai Verna, Ford Fiesta and of course Chevrolet Aveo. My research started somewhere in mid March when I eventually decided that my small car needs an upgrade. Internet was my best bet and after going through hundreds of pages of specifications, features and images, I came to a couple of conclusions which would eventually lead to a brand new Chevy.

People around me would give me different opinions. Most would say go for a City while the rest would recommend an SX4. City is the most successful running sedan amongst all these, but I wanted one which is unique. What’s the fun in having a sedan which every third person owns? SX4 is seriously hyped out, just because it’s by Maruti Suzuki - the creators behind the best selling Swift. (I really don’t understand why people like that ugly looking piece of shit - looks awful!) But the design of SX4 is neat, I mean when compared to the styling of Swift - I know both are different segment cars, but I’m just trying to compare the aesthetic sense that went in when designing these cars. :) Anyway, SX4 was chucked out because it doesn’t look classy at all. Looks like a desperate attempt at the same.

Next come Hyundai Verna, Ford Fiesta and Renault Logan - all had very basic interiors. You can’t deny that Chevrolet Aveo has the most rich interiors amongst it’s segment. Also, Renault Logan is very bady designed. Even if the mileage and stuff is less, I wouldn’t mind if I get a sedan which looks royal, classy, has the best comfort level, is luxurious and stands apart when on the road. And all my expectations were met when I test drove the Chevrolet Aveo. Perfect!

Besides, Chevrolet Aveo is designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro, a world famous Italian automobile designer who has previously designed beauties ranging from the Alfa Romeo series to the BMW to Lamborghinis. With such a world-class designer behind the production, the design can’t go wrong!
